Scales and Tails
To coincide with 探花社区鈥檚 popular Bangor Science Festival, Storiel has launched its latest foyer display, on the theme reptiles.
Snakes, crocodiles and tortoises are some of the specimens on display that are on loan from Brambell Natural History Museum, School of Biological Sciences, 探花社区. Several of the specimens are in jars of fluid and are still used for teaching. The display has been curated by Melissa Green, a zoology student volunteer and will be in place until the end of August.
It is intended to improve access to 探花社区鈥檚 hidden museum collections as part of the 鈥淓ngaging Collections: Widening Access to Gwynedd鈥檚 Heritage鈥� project that is partly funded through the Heritage Lottery Fund. This will offer local residents and visitors a chance to enjoy and learn about the vast variety of specimens on display.
